At Options Clinic we understand this is an uncertain time for you and you need clear answers and support. We perform pregnancy testing and pregnancy counselling services so you have the necessary information to make your decision.
Urine pregnancy tests are readily available at your local supermarket or pharmacy. They’re inexpensive, easy to use and reliable (97% accuracy). It’s best to conduct a pregnancy test a week after missing a period: if the test returns a negative result, repeat the test a week later with concentrated urine.
At our clinic, we will also do a pregnancy test to confirm the pregnancy. Occasionally we may need to do a blood test to confirm an ongoing early pregnancy or miscarriage.
We provide women with all the information they need in order to make an informed, voluntary decision about their pregnancy options. If a patient chooses abortion, information about the methods of abortion are made available.
However, many patients are sure about their decision to have an abortion. They primarily want information about the abortion methods available, and what to expect. Other women may wish to explore their pregnancy options more fully and seek help in making that decision.
